About

Hi, I'm Steph.

I’m an Assistant Professor of Marketing at the University of Chicago Booth School of Business.

I was a postdoctoral scholar (2019-2022) in Behavioral Decision Making at the UCLA Anderson School of Management. I received my PhD in Decision Psychology from The Ohio State University in 2019, and my Bachelor of Arts in Psychology, Math, and Economics (with a concentration in Statistics) from St. Olaf College in 2014.

I was born in Iowa, grew up in the Chicago suburbs, lived in Minnesota for four years, and then spent five years in Ohio (which was the closest to an ocean that I’d ever lived). I spent a few wonderful years in California, but I’m thrilled to be back in the midwest. Apart from research, I love to run/bike/hike/swim (not all at once) and I'm an avid traveler: 45 U.S. states, 30+ countries, 6 continents (so far).
